This extendable closet rod hangs from an existing upper rail to create a second level below it. The adjustable width lets you fit the lower bar to the available closet space without drilling or permanent hardware.

Plan the hanging layout
Keep long pieces such as coats and dresses on the original rod where the full drop remains available. Position short garments over the new lower rail so the two rows do not interfere with each other.
Measure before ordering
Measure the width between the closet sides and the vertical distance from the existing rod to the closet floor. These dimensions help confirm that the extendable bar will fit and that there is enough clearance for both rows of clothing. Remove the lower bar when the full hanging drop is needed again.
